Project Name: Novartis Re-imagining Care Pathways Collaborative Working Project ("NRCP CWP") – Nuclear Medicine Therapy Service, Barts Health NHS Trust

Project Summary:

The Re-imagining Care Pathways CWP comprises a series of workshops, with the aim of providing pathway mapping support to the CW Partner (healthcare and service teams) to:

  • Improve efficiency and service effectiveness for the benefit of patient care.
  • Address the local challenges they face in the delivery of patient care.

The programme facilitates area teams (Trust or ICS) to identify areas for efficiency within their Nuclear Medicine Therapy service for prioritisation. The programme will be carried out in a number of different institutions.

The project will be delivered through a structured series of facilitated activities including initial scoping discussions, one‑to‑one interviews with key Nuclear Medicine Therapy stakeholders, and a multi‑disciplinary pathway mapping workshop. Through these sessions, the CW Partner healthcare and service teams will be supported to map the current flow of activity within the service, enabling identification of pinch points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

Insights from the interviews and workshop will be consolidated into a pathway map and summary report, which will be reviewed with the CW Partner during a feedback and consultation session.

Milestone 1
Both parties agree the scope of the NRCP CWP and arrange the dates for the stakeholder’s interviews.

Milestone 2
Mapping the Pathway – 1:1 interviews (as a guide, allow 1 hour for each interview and aim to have them all completed within circa 4 weeks)

Milestone 3
Mapping the Pathway – Workshop (as a guide, circa 2 weeks from the last interview)

Milestone 4
Feedback/Consultation with NHS post workshop (as a guide, no later than +4 weeks from workshop)
