Summary
To ensure the ongoing high quality, accuracy and stylistic consistency of all artwork and deliverables produced in a variety of print and electronic formats. In addition to proofreading, this position performs some print quality checks on final deliverables, technical QC and ad-hoc QC duties.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Work efficiently as part of a multi-site QC team with designers, copywriters, developers, external agencies, marketing specialists and project managers
- Proofread all relevant materials for text, graphic, layout, formatting and consistency errors in accordance with Novartis brand styles and legal guidelines
- Become a brand expert building brand knowledge ensuring a compliant output
- Ensure compliance with recognised pharma standards and practices
- Compare annotated materials against drafts/deliverables to ensure changes have been made without error and further annotate materials as necessary
- Perform technical/functionality checks on digital deliverables and ensure files are print ready, as required
- Ensure creative design brief specifications have been met
- Monitor version control through production
- Communicate in a timely and effective manner to resolve questions and to ensure that errors are properly corrected
- Proactively participate in quality improvement activities

Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:
- +3 years’ experience in Quality Control, Proofreading or similar
- Experience with digital artwork inspection
- Experience in a creative production environment
- Pharmaceutical/medical content experience a bonus
- Knowledge of AP and/or AMA style a plus
Skills:
- Fluent English (both written and spoken) essential; German, Spanish, French or Japanese a plus
- Excellent reading comprehension and comparison skills
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Creative Suite as a bonus
- QA/QC and Proofreading Skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to provide quality control on all print and digital deliverables
- Ability to proofread content for errors and inconsistencies across formats, versions, etc.
- Understanding of print and digital specifications and requirements
- Familiarity with content proofing tools/text verification software a bonus
- Ability to collaborate with the team to improve the overall quality process
