About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the global category strategy at the local level OR implement the sourcing business plan for the area of responsibility; directly implement global category strategy at the site level.
- Oversee implementation of sourcing plans for the subcategory and deliver subcategory savings goals following participation in the goal setting process.
- Provide information on overall category segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships or may directly control purchasing with respect to supplier choice, timing and trading conditions on a local basis (may vary between divisions depending on the way spending is controlled).
- Manage strategic relationships with subcategory suppliers and implement consistent key performance indicators for the subcategory and report on supplier performance.
- Collect supplier information and feedback from divisions, countries, sites, category teams and business partners, and deliver purchasing balanced scorecard metrics for the corresponding subcategory.
- Create, apply, complete and review important contracts for the subcategory and ensure that negotiated contracts are clearly communicated for the subcategory area.
- Manage strategic relationships with subcategory suppliers and implement consistent key performance indicators for the subcategory, ensuring supplier risks and performance issues are resolved timely to end-user satisfaction.
Role Requirements :
- Delivery of results (main KPIs: savings, increase in payment terms, catalogs, e-auctions, etc.)
- Capacity for analysis, decision making, stakeholder management, leadership, teamwork, negotiation
- Systems: Ariba, SAP, Office
- Advanced English
Minimum 5 years of experience in the purchasing area.
Experience with categories like, production, design and construction, production equipment, machinery, supplies, facilities management, utilities, health, safety and environmental services, lab maintenance and supplies.
