Group Leader - Deployment Services

Major accountabilities:

Ensuring the successful creation and implementation of the testing strategy taking full accountability for successful roll out of data products and technology products across Novartis

Build and drive industry leading deployment and release frameworks that enhance the launch, uptake and maintenance of technology products across Novartis

Drive clear understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks; while designing and implementing them across various data products and technology products at the enterprise level

Build partnerships with business, technology and product teams in coordinating testing across multiple products in such a way as to successfully roll out data and technology products

Build functional / technical expertise of core product areas to enable smooth testing support

Build a vision and strategic direction for enterprise testing strategy and release framework

Establish standards and metrics as part of testing strategy and framework

Ensure compliance with established controls of Novartis

Functional / Operational

Convert industry frameworks and standard processes to Novartis customized needs for deployment, release and change management

Constantly review and evaluate industry trends in area of deployment for greater and faster technology adoption

Support technical training as a key driver of product adoption, working multi-functionally with training expert to ensure effective communication of product benefits and value to all users

Manage and lead a team of testing professionals, fostering a culture in line with values, behaviours and purpose of Novartis

Enable onboarding of industry leading automation practices in the testing strategies and operations

Desirable requirements

12+ years of relevant experience in Testing, Product Development, Product Management, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Analytics in US Pharma domain

·     Project management experience (> 4 years)

·     Team management / people leadership experience (> 5 years)

·     Should have working experience with IT functional & Business Domain team

·     Hands-on with PPT presentation skills, MS Excel for data analysis

·     Working experience on implementing and managing testing across projects in collaboration with upstream and downstream teams

·     Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across all geographies

·     Experience in leading/presenting testing strategies in Leadership forum

·     Previous experience working in projects to drive performance improvements

·     Should be customer service oriented

Strong and proactive business results-focus, and proven ability to provide insights that increase productivity
