Novartis has a long heritage and legacy in Malaysia. Established in 1971, we are a leading multinational company employing close to 600 associates who work in the Novartis International division and Novartis Corporate Center, Kuala Lumpur.

Through our over 50-year presence in Malaysia, Novartis Malaysia continues to deliver on its corporate purpose of reimagining medicine to improve and extend the lives of over 32 million Malaysians.

  • Contribution to Malaysia’s GDP. In 2023, Novartis contributed a total of almost RM1.05 billion towards Malaysia’s GDP through direct and indirect business activities
  • Employment. 85% of our associates are Malaysians with Novartis recognized as Top Employer in 2024 for fifth year running
  • Clinical Trials (CT). In 2022, Novartis Malaysia initiated 24 new clinical trials and invested approximately RM53.56 million in 79 ongoing studies, which amounts to over 25% of the total study value in Malaysia 
     

In 2025, Novartis Malaysia is poised to receive two prestigious awards: the Digital Innovation of the Year – Malaysia for the Japan Dyslipidemia VizARD 2.0 initiative, which has transformed how data is utilized in patient care to provide actionable insights for improved treatment strategies, and the Supply Chain Initiative of the Year – Malaysia for our groundbreaking efforts in ensuring the timely delivery of innovative radioligand therapies for prostate cancer patients across Asia. These upcoming accolades build upon our established success, including being recognized in 2022 as Sponsor of the Year by Clinical Research Malaysia. Additionally, we have a proven track record of expanding access to our innovative medicines in both private and public sectors through collaborations with the Ministry of Health Malaysia, succeeding in touching the lives of more than 1.2 million Malaysian patients.

Novartis Malaysia’s office is located in the new cutting-edge building called Plaza Imazium in Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya. Novartis Malaysia occupies 2 floors and was one of 20 offices in Malaysia to be LEED Gold certified and the first office to be WELL Silver certified.
