Summary
About the Role
Leadership & Management
- Responsible for building and management of a high-performance team of MAs and MPs.
- Lead the development of short and long-term medical strategy and formulate the strategy into operational medical plans
- Attract, hire and retain medical talents. Develop team’s competencies and provide training, ongoing assessment, coaching to enhance team effectiveness and performance progress toward objectives.
- Responsible for cross-TA learning and sharing.
Medical Affairs Strategy and Operations
- Lead MAs to provide strategic medical insights to shape the portfolio strategy
- Lead MAs to develop product medical strategies including strategy for publication/communication strategies, evidence generation plans, CoE programs, and new product launches preparation
- Provide strategic medical input on healthcare policy strategy & engagement to internal/external stakeholders
- Collaborate with medical excellence managers to align working models between medical advisors and medical customer facing team working model.
Resource allocation and Budget
- Accountable for productivity and efficiency improvements of the team. Ensure consistent and compliant application of effective technology to enhance productivity of the team.
- Lead MAs for medical TA resource planning and management (e.g. budget and HC)
- Responsible for planning, securing and managing of the medical team budget within assigned TA to secure appropriate budget to optimize scientific engagement with Medical Experts as defined by medical strategy.
- Responsible for review and approval of MAs expense reports.

Education
MD, PhD, or PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree in health care
Language
Fluent in English and local Language (oral and written).
Experience
- Proven leadership experience in leading direct or indirect reports, with preference in Medical Affairs and/or Development.
- Proven competence in developing strategic capabilities.
- Preferred prior experiences in MA role.
- Strong knowledge of the market preparation and access requirements, encompassing medical strategies and market trends.
- Proven business mindset including innovative and critical thinking with performance-oriented drive.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and a customer focus are necessary.
