About the Role

 Location: Durham, NC

Shift schedule will be Monday-Friday 7am-3.30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480V or higher.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial controls, PLCs, and automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of arc flash safety, electrical safe work practices, and LOTO procedures.
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, insulation testers, and voltage detectors.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid State Electrical License (Journeyman or equivalent).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
  • Industrial manufacturing, pharmaceutical, biotech, utility, or facility maintenance experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar).
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS/BMS).
  • NFPA 70E, First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
  • Experience with CMMS software such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar systems.

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary: 

The salary for this position is expected to range between $37.02 and $68.75 per hourly. 

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. 

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
