Additionally, accountable for establishing and leading the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework within the country organization, ensuring proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that could impact strategic objectives and compliance obligations.
About the Role
Major Accountabilities
- Business Continuity Management (BCM) & Novartis Emergency Management (NEM): Implement and maintain robust BCM and NEM frameworks to safeguard critical operations and assets. Ensure readiness for crisis response through planning, training, and simulation exercises. Coordinate emergency response and recovery plans to maintain uninterrupted supply to patients and customers.
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM): Establish and lead the country ERM framework aligned with global standards. Identify, assess, and monitor strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies; ensure timely reporting to senior leadership.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Drive a risk-aware culture through training and communication. Act as liaison with global ERM and BCM/NEM teams for alignment and escalation.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely completion and quality of risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Compliance with BCM/NEM global standards and successful execution of annual drills/exercises.
- Accuracy and timeliness of risk and continuity reporting to country leadership and global teams.
- Effectiveness of crisis response measured by minimal disruption to operations and supply chain.
- Engagement metrics for risk and BCM/NEM training programs across the organization.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 6–8 years in risk management, compliance, or business continuity roles, preferably in a multinational environment. Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex risk frameworks.
