Novartis Malaysia’s Living Well, Living Longer Breast Cancer Survivorship Ecosystem Recognized Across 4 Regional Industry Platforms
- Living Well, Living Longer (LWLL) recognized across Healthcare Asia Pharma Awards, PR Awards Southeast Asia, PRCA APAC Awards and Content Marketing Awards Asia-Pacific
- Integrated survivorship ecosystem recognized for advancing patient advocacy, education and psychosocial support for women living with breast cancer.
Petaling Jaya, 07 August 2026 – Novartis Malaysia's Living Well, Living Longer (LWLL), an integrated breast cancer survivorship ecosystem, has been recognized across four leading regional industry award platforms in 2026 for its innovative approach to supporting women beyond diagnosis and treatment.
Developed in collaboration with clinicians, patient advocacy groups and breast cancer survivors, LWLL brings together three complementary initiatives: the Living Well, Living Longer Coffee Table Book, the ICanCare app and Gift of Time patient workshops. Together, they provide trusted information, patient navigation and psychosocial support through a connected survivorship ecosystem designed for Malaysian women.
LWLL was developed in response to the growing need for more coordinated survivorship support in Malaysia, where many women continue to face challenges accessing reliable information and psychosocial care after treatment. By connecting educational resources, digital support and community engagement within a single ecosystem, the program complements clinical care and helps women navigate life with greater confidence.
Since its launch, the initiative has recorded more than 6,000 ICanCare app downloads, achieved over 50% active user engagement, contributed to a 250% increase in demand for psychosocial support, and driven a 133% year on year increase in Gift of Time workshop bookings, demonstrating growing demand for coordinated survivorship support. Sanjeev Balachandran, Country President of Novartis Malaysia, Brunei and Asia Emerging Markets (AEM), said:
"A breast cancer diagnosis changes far more than a patient's treatment plan. Many women continue to navigate emotional, practical, and informational challenges long after treatment ends. Living Well, Living Longer was created to ensure they have access to trusted guidance and support throughout that experience.
We are honored that this work has been recognized across several regional award platforms. More importantly, it reinforces the importance of long-term collaboration between healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups and industry to strengthen survivorship support for women living with breast cancer, helping improve and extend patients’ lives."
The recognition spans patient advocacy, healthcare communications and purpose-driven storytelling across four regional award programs.
