The Data Innovation, Partnerships and Products (DIPP) team sits within the Data Products and Foundations pillar of Strategy, Platforms and Transformation (SPT) and enables trusted, scalable data access and partnerships that support improved decision-making across Novartis.
The Director, SP/ASOC Data Partnerships Lead (Specialty Pharmacy/Alternative Sites for Care) will establish and lead a centralized COE that brings clear ownership, structure, and operational discipline to contracting, vendor oversight, onboarding, issue coordination, and high-quality data delivery across this expanding data ecosystem, working closely with the Data Monitoring and Standards team to support ongoing monitoring and adherence to data standards.
This role will lead the SP/ASOC (Specialty Pharmacy/Alternative Sites of Care) Data Center of Excellence across multiple specialty pharmacies, alternative sites of care, several brands, and launch activities. The role will create consistent ways of working across contracting execution, vendor management, data onboarding, reporting, analytics, issue resolution, restatements, up-dates, and communication, while partnering closely with the Data Monitoring and Standards team on monitoring routines, standards alignment, and data quality expectations to ensure SP/ASOC data is reliable, timely, fit-for-purpose, and actionable for business insights and decisions.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the centralized Specialty Pharmacy and Alternative Sites of Care (SP/ASOC) Data Center of Excellence, creating clear accountability for contracting, vendor oversight, onboarding, issue coordination, and data delivery
- Develop and execute the SP/ASOC data partnership strategy across specialty pharmacy, alternative sites of care, market access, channel strategy, finance, legal, privacy, analytics, brand, and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Standardize end-to-end SP/ASOC data partnership operations, including contracting execution, vendor management, data onboarding, reporting, analytics, communication, restatements, updates, and issue resolution
- Partner with Market Access, Channel Strategy, Finance, Legal, Privacy, Analytics, and brand teams to align SP/ASOC data partnerships to business priorities, launch requirements, compliance expectations, and decision-making use cases
- Lead repeatable onboarding and launch support for SP/ASOC partners, ensuring data requirements, contracting needs, operational readiness, and delivery expectations are defined early, aligned cross-functionally, and executed consistently
- Partner with the Data Monitoring and Standards team to align data quality expectations, service levels, monitoring routines, and performance metrics with SP/ASOC partners, ensuring delivery expectations are clear and actionable
- Work closely with the Data Monitoring and Standards team to support alignment with centralized data management guidance, internal data standards, and privacy, security, compliance, and regulatory expectations
- Drive proactive issue management and root cause resolution with SP/ASOC partners and internal teams, ensuring data issues, restatements, and updates are communicated clearly and resolved in a timely manner
- Oversee data acquisition and delivery from requirements gathering through integration into Novartis platforms and systems, enabling trusted insights, reporting, analytics, and operational decision-making
- Establish governance and oversight mechanisms across multiple SP/ASOC partners to ensure adherence to data-sharing agreements, operational standards, and internal policies
- Provide SP/ASOC partnership performance, data quality, launch readiness, issue resolution, and governance reporting to senior leadership
- Build scalable COE processes, playbooks, and ways of working that support current SP/ASOC operations while strengthening readiness for future brand launches and ecosystem growth
- Continuously evaluate SP/ASOC partnerships, processes, and technology solutions to improve data quality, operational effectiveness, scalability, and business impact
Experience:
Novartis seeks an individual with deep experience leading complex data partnerships and operational data programs across specialty pharmacy, alternative sites of care, market access, channel strategy, patient access, or related healthcare data ecosystems. The ideal candidate will understand how Specialty Pharmacy and Alternative Sites of Care (SP/ASOC) data is contracted, acquired, onboarded, governed, and delivered for reporting, analytics, insights, and operational decision-making, and will be able to partner effectively with data monitoring and standards teams to support quality expectations and standards alignment. Experience working with data vendors, specialty pharmacy partners, hub/service providers, alternative sites of care, or healthcare data operations is highly desirable. A proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders, resolve data quality issues, establish scalable COE processes, and drive vendor accountability across a complex partner network is essential.
Essential Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8+years of experience in data partnerships, data operations, market access, channel strategy, specialty pharmacy, patient services, healthcare data management, or related roles
- Expert understanding of Specialty Pharmacy and Alternative Sites of Care (SP/ASOC) data partnerships, vendor oversight, contracting execution, data onboarding, standards alignment, and operational data delivery best practices
- Preferred experience working with specialty pharmacies, alternative sites of care, hub/service providers, healthcare data vendors, or functional teams that rely on SP/ASOC data for insights, reporting, access, and operational decisions
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to data privacy and security
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives, partner timelines, launch dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables from planning through execution
- Ability to influence and drive change in a complex organizational environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, manage data quality risks, resolve partner issues, and ensure the integrity, security, quality, and usability of SP/ASOC data
Novartis Compensation Summary:
The salary for this position is expected to range between $185,500.00 and $344,500.00 per year.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
