Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Affairs Intern to support strategic and scientific initiatives across key medical affairs functions. This role offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of medical activities, inclusive of , but not limited to publication review, literature analysis, scientific content development, KOL (Key Opinion Leader) profiling, and field-based medical activities.
The internship is ideal for candidates pursuing an MD or an equivalent higher degree, currently in their second or final year of postgraduate studies, who aspire to build a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Scientific Publication Review:
- Assist in reviewing clinical and real-world publications for accuracy, scientific rigor, and alignment with company messaging.
- Literature Review and Summarization:
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches and summarize relevant data to support ongoing medical projects, strategy development, and field team training.
- Content Development:
- Support the development of high-quality scientific and educational materials such as slide decks, FAQs, scientific responses, and internal knowledge documents.
- KOL Profiling and Mapping:
- Assist in the identification, profiling, and segmentation of key opinion leaders (KOLs) to support engagement planning and scientific collaborations.
- Field Work and Medical Support:
- Accompany medical field teams on scientific engagements, medical education programs, and congress activities to gain first-hand experience in external scientific communication.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Regulatory, Clinical Research, Compliance) to ensure medical and scientific accuracy in communications and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Pursuing an MD or equivalent higher degree in Medicine, Pharmacology, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Candidate should be in the second or final year of postgraduate studies.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interest in medical affairs and pharmaceutical industry practices.
- Excellent scientific understanding and ability to critically appraise medical literature.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and summarizing complex data.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
