Summer Student - Data Automation

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments and gather requirements with multiple teams, documenting current-state processes, identifying pain points, and defining automation opportunities.
• Design and develop automation solutions (SQL/Python, Power Platform) to streamline data preparation, KPI generation, and reporting.
• Build data transformations, validation checks, and scheduled refreshes to ensure reliable outputs.
• Produce clear technical documentation (data flows, logic, assumptions) and communicate progress/status to stakeholders.
• Develop Power BI dashboards to support automation use cases that can be addressed through standardized, automated reporting.

Essential Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or related field.
• Hands-on coding ability in SQL and Python (data manipulation, automation scripts, basic testing/validation).
• Basic knowledge of data engineering best practices (data quality, version control, documentation, scalable design).
• Experience with Power BI (data modeling, measures, visuals) and familiarity with Power Automate/Power Apps.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders and translate needs into solutions.
