Summary

Accountable for the effective execution of the Supply Chain Processes performed at Site and the related SC services received by the TechOps Accountable for the effective execution of the Supply Chain Processes performed at Site and the related SC services received by the NTO organizational units (Operations Centers, Logistic Hub and Site Development) in order to ensure Site Supply Performance at the expected standards and compliance with valid NTO’s GOP, HSE and GMP rules. He / She chairs the Demand and Supply reviews according MRP II /NOSSCE standards

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Operational

•    Responsible to define Site specific SC services’ requirements as part of the formal SLA between Site and Ops Center. Ensure implementation and maintenance of best practice standards and processes across operational and tactical planning, lead Supply Chain projects to create. Chairing the Demand and Supply Review
•    Establish an effective governance model for the Site to review and assess regularly the SC service effectiveness and relevant adherence to the define requirements and standards (incl. KPIs). Responsible to translate the demonstrated Site process capability into accurate planning parameters (e.g. yield and BOM adjustment, TPT & TPLT review)
•    Act as Single Point Of Contact between Site and Ops Center for any supply chain related topics, act as Business Owner of Supply Chain Tools and Systems. Act as point of escalation for SC issues assuring operational scheduling is executed according the priorities as part of bottleneck management
•    Responsible for governing Business Processes owned by SCM in line with NOSSCE Novartis Operational Standard for Supply Chain Excellence. Accountable for ensuring efficient and on time Life Cycle  Management activities,  product launches and transfers according to NTO processes independently by the operational project management execution 
•    Ensure reliable and continuous supply at minimal inventory levels. Ensure full integration/alignment with Global Supply Chain functions / Operational Center. Support the Site budgeting process, reporting systems including monitoring and definition of standards and guidelines
•    Ensure implementation of and compliance with Novartis policies and procedures, strategy and standards for the SC Site activities. Support the Manufacturing Head to develop, review and enhance Operational schedulers planning capabilities Support development and improvement of Tactical Planning capabilities and optimal resource utilization

Leadership & Culture

•    Drives the talent agenda for the functional roles at Site. Actively support and promote talent exchange for the benefit of the individuals and organization 
•    Support the T&L organization by identifying and reviewing the appropriate list of training for all in-scope associates. Ensure that associates are qualified for a GMP task prior to independent performance. Monitor overall training compliance for in-scope associates

HSE & Quality

•    Ensure all activities in compliance with cGxP, incl. data integrity. Ensure overall inspection readiness for area of responsibility. Guarantee the effectiveness of the Business Continuity Plan within area of responsibility
•    Promote and improve the Safety and Quality cultures, by implementing the necessary systems and actions in line with the evolution of the site. Responsible for participating in initial training and retraining. HSE incidents reporting & action follow-up

Essential Requirements:

•    10+ years’ experience in a managerial role within different stages of supply chain processes for large multi-national organizations
•    High degree of competence of functional expertise on MRP Class A program and all elements of supply chain processes including planning, order fulfilment, capacity and supply planning, master data and life-cycle management

•    University degree in Supply Chain or Science (Engineering or related fields) or Economics/Finance. Preferably with MBA degree. Qualifications in APICS certificates (CPIM & CSCP)

•    Fluent in English (mandatory) and local language (strongly preferred)

•    Collaboration; result-oriented
•    Excellent communicator and coach who is able to lead a major transition on a global and multi-functional footprint. Proven track record  in setting up Service Level agreement and relevant governance model with external providers
•    Has to be familiar with the current local SC regulations and internal systems.
•    Experience in leading development teams across multiple countries and locations with ability for developing and sustaining business relationships
•    Proven record of accomplishment in leading teams that have successfully built and launched products in highly scalable markets.
•    Experience in translate business scenarios into SAP system functionalities including  Master data and MM modules conceptual set up
