Summary
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
- Focused management of service operations and or technology governance and external internal interfaces
- Operations and ensuring timely and effective delivery of services. Responsible for a technology stack
- Platform with limited to non-direct people lead
- Contribute technical architectural activities for the responsible technology domain
- Accountable for managing suppliers in ensuring they deliver quality services and meet all contractual obligations for the responsible area
- Tracks actual utilization of services and reporting of supplier performance in meeting business service expectations and service levels
- Support the Retain -recruit -hire -manage and coach a highly specialized and globally distributed team of technology professionals to execute our vision in the responsible area
- Responsible for develop input for the service -platform strategy development
Minimum Requirements:
- Overall experience of 12+ years, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an AWS DevOps engineer.
- Proficient expert working experience with the AWS cloud platform in implementing cloud services, particularly databases.
- Working experience in databases (e.g., RDS, Serverless Aurora, DynamoDB, Neptune, Redshift) and its integrated services in AWS cloud.
- Strong working experience with Jenkins and code repositories such as Bitbucket.
- Excellent programming experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Groovy, and JSON, Good understanding of CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM roles/policies, CloudFormation templates (CFTs), AWS Lambda, etc.
- Solid understanding of Cloud network concepts (VPC, Subnet, Inbound/Outbound etc), protocols, and security ( Security Groups) concepts.
- Ability to lead the development of multiple pipelines, from requirement gathering to hand off.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering and architect teams.
- Timely updates and escalations to ensure work progress.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Experience in handling multiple sprints using JIRA tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Terraform.
- Interest and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Experience with automation build tools like Chef.
- Knowledge of security enhancements and best practices in AWS cloud.
