About the Role
Role Responsibilities Include:
- Acts as a member of the Leadership Team of Emerging Markets.
- Acts as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, providing legal guidance on complex and sensitive matters.
- Ensures timely and effective legal advice to all the activities in Emerging Markets.
- Leads legal operations in Emerging Markets, ensuring compliance with local and global regulations.
- Contributes to and influences Emerging Markets business strategy and decision-making processes.
- Anticipates and counsels regarding major legal and reputational risks to the business.
- Manages external lawyers.
Key Requirements for the Role
- University degree in Law and legal accreditation preferably in Kazakhstan.
- Minimum 5 years legal experience.
- Experience in pharmaceutical business is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Persuasive negotiator
- Strong business acumen, learning agility, open-minded, able to work with different cultures and leadership styles.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Key performance indicators:
- Provide problem solving, business oriented legal advice; to be assessed with appropriate customer feedback.
- Compliance with reporting obligations.
- Setting priorities and managing a wide-ranging workload.
