We work to enhance access to our medicines and vaccines – the programs highlighted here are only a few examples of our ongoing efforts.

  Oncology patient assistance programs

  Novartis created one of the most far-reaching access programs ever implemented on a global scale to ensure access to treatment for two rare forms of cancer.

  Malaria Initiative

  Focused on access, treatment, R&D and capacity building, the Novartis Malaria Initiative is one of the healthcare industry's largest access-to-medicine programs measured by the number of patients reached annually.

  Social business initiative

  Arogya Parivar ("healthy family" in Hindi) is a for-profit social initiative developed by Novartis to help deliver healthcare to millions of people in rural India.

  Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development

  The Novartis Foundation for Sustainable Development (NFSD) works to improve the standard of health in developing countries by serving as a think tank and by initiating partnerships that improve access to health services, strengthen human resources in health and empower vulnerable groups.

  Eliminating leprosy

  Novartis donates leprosy treatments to patients globally, and NFSD is an active partner in the global effort to eliminate leprosy.

  Alcon, the eye care division of Novartis, is dedicated to helping people worldwide to enhance, protect and restore their sight – regardless of where they live.
