Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Investigator Initiated Trials (IIT) program, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine trial feasibility, develop protocols, and successfully implement IIT projects. Oversee the operational aspects of IIT, including budget management, vendor selection, and contract negotiations. Provide guidance and support to investigators, ensuring compliance with Novartis policies and procedures. Continuously assess and enhance the IIT program to improve efficiency and enhance impact. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field. Proven experience in clinical operations, including IIT management. Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and guidelines pertaining to IIT. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Exceptionally well-organized and attentive to detail, with the capability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently. Proficiency in relevant software and technology platforms. About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Operational management of IIT proposals and studies
  • Ensures timely response to proposals by coordinating with internal medical teams
  • Manages IITs to agreed milestones with regular communications with external investigators and internal medical teams
  • Manages drug supply for interventional studies
  • Ensures appropriate documentation and record keeping according to GCP and internal processes and standards
  • Supports the delivery of other operational activities within the Integrated Evidence Team

Key performance indicators:

  • Successful delivery of studies to time, budget and quality
  • Effective planning, tracking and communication
  • Adherence to SOPs, governance frameworks, GCP and local regulations

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject and/or relevant prior experience
Work Experience:

  • Experience of clinical trials, project and/or study management and the pharmaceutical industry
