$500 million! That’s the savings Sandoz has provided in just two years to the US healthcare system as a result of the successful adoption of one of our oncology supportive care biosimilar into clinical practice. Sandoz has eight biosimilar approved globally – including four in the US – and more than ten in the pipeline. Biosimilar may enable more patients to access advanced biologic medicines earlier, and Sandoz has proven that biosimilar offer significant savings for overburdened health systems. The Director, Government Strategy and Planning Initiatives - Sandoz will be responsible for shaping and monitoring the evolution of the market access and government policy landscape in the short, near, and long-term. This person will work closely with Government Affairs and Government Pricing to evaluate and analyze current policy impact to the Sandoz business as well as shape the strategic direction of future policy initiatives. This person will also work closely with Global Marketing, BD&L, and Pipeline partners to provide Access inputs and considerations for pipeline products. The Director will serve as a key internal expert on Policy and Government Pricing Analytics (IRA, ASP, AMP, Best Price, NonFAMP, 340B, etc.), as well as evolving Medicare and Medicaid benefit designs. Further, the Director will help shape our robust biosimilar and complex generics pipeline, providing market access considerations and input for future portfolio products.
Job Roles, Responsibilities, Skills:
• Identify, analyze, and report on evolving policy and reimbursement initiatives as well as emerging issues that could have a significant impact on Sandoz and the biosimilars and generics industry
• Educate organization and prepare solutions for market access evolution and best practices (e.g. Medicare Advantage, Med D design changes, payer evolution, medical management, 340B stacking, clear bagging, etc.)
• Collaborate with global on future portfolio products 2-10 years in the future, for consideration on TPPs, labels, etc. and impact on market access considerations (pricing, adoption, payer acceptance, provider acceptance, etc.)
• Work closely with Brand and Market Access colleagues to shape market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy, incorporating key government considerations for both in-line and launch products
• Able to successfully pivot with rapidly evolving market dynamics, between products, and between stakeholders without losing sight of overarching strategy
• Key cross-functional partners include Marketing, Access Strategy, Account Strategy, Account Management, HEOR, Distribution, Patient Services, Pricing, Insights & Analytics, Government Pricing, Medical, Finance, Global marketing/medical, Government Affairs.
• Proficient with numbers/Excel, including working with Access Strategy and Finance on forecasts, Analytics on data & insights, and external vendors on data management and other key initiatives
• This will be a home office (Princeton) based position which reports to the Executive Director, Market Access Strategy and New Product Planning
This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require up to 25% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $192,000 and $288,000 a year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements
Experience/Requirements:
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience is required
• 5+ years of experience in Government Policy/Affairs and/or Market Access
• Deep market knowledge and subject matter expertise across multiple channels including Medicare and Medicaid, PBM/Payer, Provider, Specialty Pharmacy, Distribution, Employers, ACOs, IDNs, GPOs, etc.
• Understanding of benefit design and economics associated with medical and pharmacy benefit for Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid Reimbursement for Injectable and Oral Pharmaceuticals
• Deep understanding of government policy and other current market access landscape and evolving macro-trends
• Excellent strategic ability, people management, and ability to develop and lead cross functional teams
• Executive presence, strong collaboration, and ability to simply communicate complex concepts
