#  A Saudade Sente-se na Pele 

Novartis apoia o IPO do Porto e a Associação Melanoma Portugal em campanha que assinala o Dia do Euromelanoma

“A Saudade Sente-se na Pele” é uma campanha do IPO do Porto,da Associação Melanoma Portugal e da Novartis, e que assinala o Dia do Euromelanoma. Lançada em 2020, esta iniciativa pretende sensibilizar a população portuguesa para o diagnóstico precoce do melanoma, apelando à prevenção da doença e promovendo comportamentos preventivos essenciais, como: evitar a exposição solar entre as 12h e as 16h, aplicar sempre protetor solar e fazer o autoexame regular à pele para acompanhamento de uma eventual evolução dos sinais. A campanha reforça também que a visita ao médico continua a ser segura, controlada e rápida e que pode mudar a história da doença.

O mote da campanha surgiu no contexto de pandemia com o objetivo de promover, também, uma reflexão dos doentes sobre as saudades: “saudades dos sorrisos”, “saudades do afeto e do toque”, “saudades do abraço do médico”, porque “A Saudade Sente-se na Pele”.

O melanoma é o tipo de cancro de pele mais agressivo, caracterizado pelo crescimento descontrolado de células anormais da pele, causado por mutações ou defeitos genéticos no DNA, na maioria dos casos decorrente da radiação ultravioleta.1 Um estudo recente estima que, em Portugal, 276 doentes com melanoma não foram diagnosticados durante a pandemia, o que corresponde a 21% dos casos.2
