QC Lead (f/m/d), Quality Unit Drug Substance Kundl, Kundl, Austria

70! You can count on more than 70 team members to ensure patients receive their medication on time and with the right quality. Drug Substance Kundl site manufactures proteins and nucleic acids for Novartis and many external customers.

Leading a team of highly qualified quality control professionals you will have the unique chance to develop this organisation.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include:
• Leading a QC organization of more than 70 professionals (5-6 direct reports)
• Ensuring that products are meeting requirements with regarding quality, time and reliability
• Development of the QC organisation to cope with future business needs. This includes resource capability and facility development planning for the respective laboratories including budget responsibility
• Drive harmonized workflows and methods for in-process control and release testing using cutting-edge technologies and IT support
• Active participation in internal councils, health authority inspections and audits ensuring continued inspection readiness of the QC organization (cGMP compliance)
• Facilitate efficient exchange with internal and external partners
• Support development of local and global projects improving quality control processes and infrastructure

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Life sciences degree (Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry or any related science)
• Fluency in English, German desirable
• 4+ years of experience in quality control or a similar GMP environment
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Expert knowledge in GMP regulations

Desirable requirements:
• Strong background in phys-chem analytics pf proteins and nucleic acids.
• Very experienced in leading larger organisations
• Strategic mindset

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 63.388,92/year (on a full time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
