 L'Accademia del Paziente Esperto EUPATI (AdPEE), in collaborazione con Novartis Italia, presenta un ciclo di brevi video-lezioni informative, della durata di circa **10 minuti ciascuna, riguardanti la Ricerca e Sviluppo dei farmaci.**

### Accademia del Paziente Esperto EUPATI

Il progetto europeo European Patients’ Academy on Therapeutic Innovation (EUPATI) si pone come obiettivo il coinvolgimento attivo dei pazienti nel processo di Ricerca e Sviluppo (R&D) dei farmaci.  
**EUPATI è un progetto innovativo e unico nel suo genere, avviato nel 2012 grazie a un’iniziativa di IMI (Innovative Medicines Initiative).**  
A livello europeo coinvolge un consorzio di 33 organizzazioni, tra cui associazioni di pazienti, organizzazioni non profit, università e aziende farmaceutiche, ed è guidato dai pazienti stessi (European Patients Forum - EPF). Nella pratica, EUPATI ha ideato un percorso formativo, per i pazienti e i loro familiari, focalizzato sull’acquisizione di conoscenze e competenze in ambito scientifico e regolatorio per la R&D delle terapie innovative. Questo tipo di formazione permette ai pazienti di avere gli strumenti attraverso i quali dare voce, con autorevolezza, alle proprie istanze sulle linee di ricerca per lo sviluppo di terapie innovative, e di dare il proprio contributo, interagendo in maniera appropriata con le istituzioni, per la tutela dell’accesso alle cure.

Fondata a Roma nel 2014, Accademia del Paziente Esperto EUPATI (AdPEE) è un'Associazione di promozione sociale, la cui missione è la **formazione altamente qualificata dei pazienti e caregiver nell’ambito della Ricerca e Sviluppo (R&S) delle Terapie Innovative.**  
E' promotrice del corso per “Paziente Esperto EUPATI”, un **percorso formativo approfondito, gratuito e aperto a tutti** sul metodo della R&S. I suoi contenuti sono scritti e verificati da tutte le parti coinvolte nel ciclo di vita di un farmaco e cioè dagli Accademici, Ricercatori, Pazienti, Aziende Farmaceutiche, Istituzioni e Agenzie Regolatorie Nazionali, allo scopo di garantirne l’indipendenza e la trasparenza.   
Una formazione di grande valore ed unica nel suo genere, volta a rendere il Paziente Esperto EUPATI un partner autorevole ed imprescindibile per tutti gli interlocutori coinvolti nel mondo della Sanità.

Il progetto di AdPEE è multisponsor e multistakeholders, si svolge in collaborazione con AIFA ed è sostenuto da numerose ed importanti Aziende Farmaceutiche.

Il toolobox EUPATI è **uno strumento progettato da EUPATI per fornire ai pazienti informazioni e conoscenze nell’ambito della R&amp;S dei farmaci.**  
L’importanza del Toolbox risiede nel fatto che sia accessibile a tutti: **pazienti, familiari e caregiver.**  
Tramite questo motore di ricerca, è possibile acquisire maggiori competenze nello studio e nell’apprendimento di temi rilevanti in materia di R&amp;S dei farmaci, per qualsiasi patologia.  
È un archivio che utilizza un linguaggio semplice, ma completo.  
Progettato in ben sette lingue, il Toolbox contiene informazioni sui trial clinici, sulla normativa e sulla sicurezza dei medicinali, sulla farmacovigilanza e sui principi di valutazione della tecnologia sanitaria.
