For our Global Communications team at Sandoz we are looking for a Manager, Internal Channels & Content (m-w-d).This role aims to help employees feel connected to the company, its purpose and its business strategy through clear and compelling editorial and visual content and an effective channel strategy and management.
Working within the Internal Communications team and closely across the global Corporate Affairs team and the wider Corporate Affairs network, the jobholder is responsible for driving associate engagement by identifying, developing, and implementing editorial content and creative on-brand formats, developing effective channel strategies, and using data to develop and guide plans. He/she will manage the internal channels and newsflow, and be responsible for ensuring clarity and consistency in internal communications messaging, leveraging business milestones through internal channels, and taking an audience first approach to how we communicate internally.

Your key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a global internal communication content and channel strategy to support business priorities by delivering a consistent drumbeat of communication activities. This includes program development of appropriate activities and measurement against KPIs.

• Build and implement an internal channel landscape for Sandoz, including a new on-brand intranet, an internal social media channel and best-in-class mass mail formats in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Employee Communications Experience.

• Develop and implement editorial and creative content for internal digital channels to mark business milestones and support priorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop internal messaging on complex, nuanced issues that is clear, concise, consistent and effectively engages associates. Work alongside the Campaign Manager from the Operations Team to manage internal newsflow and coordinate internal content creation and publication for both internal and external campaigns.

• Work with the Internal Communications team to shape branded internal communications content and effectively communicate via multiple touchpoints that engage different audiences through a variety of channels, such as global townhalls, leader calls and digital channels.

• Support organizational initiatives by creating branded communications media and other promotional tactics to distribute information to employees. Manage design and content agencies to develop best-in-class editorial, on-brand content and creative assets.

• Identify metrics to help evaluate the success of internal communication channels and content, regular evaluation of channels to ensure targeted audience is effectively reached.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a communications role within a major corporation or public relations agency, at least 2 years in internal communications
• Master or Bachelor Degree in Communications, Business or related area
• Native English; additional languages a plus
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, ability to balance priorities and to consistently meet deadlines
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with team, committed to create “Best in Class” communications content
• Interest in applying of new communication technologies and solutions
• Proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach
• Experience of working in a multi-cultural and diverse international environment
