Our research builds on the latest advances in human and zebrafish genetics to probe pathways underlying the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Autism, Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, and Frontotemporal Dementias. In collaboration with academia, we use new tools, including induced pluripotent stem cells and optogenetics, to sift through genetic clues, build disease models, and deepen our understanding of neural circuits.
