Job Summary:

An exciting new opportunity at Novartis has arisen for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to join a highly successful Specialty sales team to work with an exciting new product. These are business critical and highly visible roles within the organisation responsible for leading on the delivery of a cardiovascular product campaign.

Job purpose

•The role is responsible for building and executing business plans to meet sales goals for assigned territory.
•To drive territory sales performance, market share and optimal resource utilization.
•To develop effective professional business relationships with customers that support delivery of business results in a specific therapeutic area.
•To implement robust account plans with complex customers including hospitals, institutions, local health authorities or private payers.
•To differentiate Novartis as a leader in a specific therapeutic area.

Key Responsibilities

-Executes account plans for assigned product lines/brands, customers or therapeutic area; uncovers and develops new business opportunities.
-Develops and applies understanding of customer organizations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions (e.g. peer relationships)
-Develops business/clinical networks supporting Medical advocacy and key opinion leader plans, including medical experts from customer or academic communities.
-Adapts and optimizes approach and communications style during sales calls, responding appropriately to customer needs
-Makes effective use of available technologies and channels to support sales calls.
