Scientific Associate II – In Vivo Training
The purpose of this role is to efficiently support NIBR-Basel discovery research by providing in vivo didactical and technical training within our multi-disciplinary research program and within the Training team in Technical Services-LAS. The tasks will include the identification and development of novel innovative approaches resulting in best-in-class technical work in the field of the in vivo experimentation.

- Responsible for the implementation of regular in vivo didactic and technical training (e.g lectures, workshops, adhoc practical training). - Responsible for training-related administrative tasks and tracking of training animals. - Identify new/emerging techniques/refinements to expand the Technical Service portfolio. - Close collaboration with other LAS-teams providing continuous advice on technical optimization and refinement. - Regular literature review directed to provide best-in-class qualitative didactic and technical training, showing high degree of independence. - Proactively meet and exceed customer service expectations. - Continuously pursue educational and professional development opportunities to enhance and expand relevant skills and knowledge.
- University degree in life sciences (BSc, MSc) or related technical education (no PhD or vet)
- Demonstrated track recordin the field of laboratory animal science and training activities.
- Fluent German and English
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in a technical skills tract laboratory animal program required.
- Experience in basic surgical techniques might be advantageous.
