Come to an industry leader where you will enhance top line revenue growth and profitability for the Company through researching, structuring, negotiating, obtaining approval, closing, and managing company or product acquisition and/or licensing deals targeted for the US market. This position will focus on deals that would result in incremental sales and op inc. within a timeframe of the Sandoz strategic plan. Identify, negotiate and close acquisition (bolt-on or product) and/or licensing deals within the Generic scope of Sandoz, as well as within the scope of PharmaDerm and/or Biosimilars. Position will be located in Princeton, NJ.

BD&L experience with Branded, 505(b)(2), or Biotech - and either Oncology or CNS strongly preferred.

Major Accountabilities
• Manage the opportunity evaluation process by leading cross functional teams with Portfolio, Technical development, Finance, IP/Legal, Regulatory and Marketing
• Prepare business case and create various management approval decks for acquisition cases
• Negotiate contracts and amendments and play a pivotal role with Legal in concluding and managing contracts to execution.
• Coordinate contract input from other functional areas e.g. Quality, SCM, Sales, etc. Coordinate the evaluation with Sales and Marketing of impending launches of US BD&L derived products
• Create presentations on Licensing opportunities for U.S. Senior Management review and approval
• Manage and lead multiple, complex projects with limited supervision
• Interface with Global Business Development & Licensing on global initiatives as necessary to provide support and represent US views.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA is preferred
• Business Development experience with branded, 505(b)(2), or biotech is preferred
• BD&L experience with Oncology or CNS strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 12-15 years of Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Experience should encompass more than one functional area (e.g. product development, regulatory affairs, product management, marketing, business development, finance, etc).
• Understand the basics of pharmaceutical forecasting and competitive dynamics in the pharmaceutical industry
• Understand the basics of financial analysis and product P&L modeling
• Negotiate commitments and timelines from internal and external parties
• Good knowledge of legal matters related to licensing contracts
