About the Role
W&D Operations Manager is part of CPO SCM Team and responsible for ensuring shared services concept in the warehousing and distribution area for Pharma, Oncology, Farmanova units in Turkey. Maintains customer service level, develops robust distribution processes with optimum cost.
Ensures the product supply to sales with required quantities on time services without stockout, provide support to the new launches, implement and follow the Global Integrated Supply Chain Processes locally in order to optimize end to end supply chain management. Supports management of 3PL tender for finding out new 3PL or creating alternative plans.
•Ensures newcomers are aware and trained in appropriate processes, competent to use the tools provided and are continually developed
•Study the W&D budget & manages the cost, ensures best practices are followed in line with the Company Guidelines
•Ensures capacity utilization, communicates plans, monitors volumes and back logs, optimizes capacity accordingly
•3rd party management including SLA, performance, operation, cost and improvement studies
•Develops, monitors, controls, reports and benchmarks key performance measures
•Ensures compliance with GxP, HSE regulations, Novartis policies, MoH requirements and SOP’s
•Develops and maintains strong working relations with all business units and stakeholders
•Ensure Integrity and Compliance in all areas of W&D including service provider operations
•Develops and maintains continuous communication and collaboration with channel management and wholesalers to ensure that products reach to patients in a compliant and effective manner
•Shares best practice across the region, adopts proven practices developed elsewhere in the organization, maintains an active network within the organization
•Manages MMDM activities for Sales and Distribution areas like new item field controls, changes and update requests)
•Manage all daily operations proactively with identified KPI at 3PL
•Review and maintain SLA periodically
•Review and maintain BCP periodically, if necessary, update it. Creates alternative accordingly.
•Support all tender process for finding out a new service provider; implement all current process to new one without any problem.
•Contribution to sharing and adaption of best practices within region, implement all new regulations
•Develops and maintains skill sets of the department, supports competence and career development opportunities, shares knowledge and insights as appropriate
•Develops and motivates staff and colleagues in the Warehouse and Distribution unit to meet local, regional and global objectives
•Performance management and employee relations, feedback, meetings and surveys
•Comply with the policies and rules of Information Security.
•Comply with the declaration of privacy and discipline procedure.
•Inform the related units of security incidents and violations.
•Before going annual leave, ensure the continuity in tasks, create back-ups.
•If employer requests new tasks, this position fulfills all of them.
Key Performance Indiators
•Customer services level, backorder, stock-out and on-time POD collection
•Coordinate # of days for delivery beginning from sales delivery creation
•Ensure inventory accuracy and on time & regular cycle counts and discarding process
•Management W&D cost vs. Budget within the limits
•No critical observations during audits (HSE, NFCM and SOX) or GxP issues
•Track & trace performance (2D), work orders follow-up and closure on time
•Manage local and global strategic operational projects within budgets and timelines

•University degree in Engineering, Business Administration
Further trainings/skills required:
-End-to-end supply chain management experience
-Broad basic education in economics/finance/logistics
•Fluent (spoken and written) in local language and English
•Experience of warehouse & distribution management, logistics, operation management, project management, in multinational organizations and pharmaceutical industry
•Change management / re-engineering experience
•Project management experience
•Tender management for finding oput new 3PL
•Implementation of current process into new 3PL
•SAP, MS Office applications
