Job Description

To lead the delivery of end-to-end Talent Acquisition service for IMI China. You will lead a great sizable team of Talent Acquisition professionals distributed across China and your objective will be to create and implement strategies to attract the best talent for IMI China along with business strategy and P&O priorities. This role is also the Talent Acquisition SPOC for China.

• As the IMI Talent Acquisition Head, China you will drive operational excellence throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle, including data integrity, and adherence to key Talent Acquisition success metrics.
• You will report into the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, IMI, and support him/her with the design and execution of their Talent Acquisition Strategy and support them with the overall management of the function.
• You will lead, coach, and develop a Talent Acquisition team of Team Lead(s), Talent Acquisition Business Partners, Sourcers and Coordinators who are responsible for developing and executing our Talent Acquisition strategy in China to acquire top diverse talent.
• You will oversee capacity planning as well as the performance and capability building of your team.
• You will own the execution of the hiring strategy and manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle for IMI China enabling your team to streamline and accelerate our recruitment efforts throughout the whole candidate lifecycle.
• Develop engaging relationships with hiring managers at all levels across IMI China and provide coaching and training in the end-to-end hiring funnel to enable co-ownership of the hiring agenda.
• Develop a data-driven approach to optimize our efficiency, inform decision-making and enable more proactive planning of our workforce, in collaboration with other Talent Acquisition teams and P&O leaders.
• Collaborate with Talent Marketing to develop a recruitment marketing strategy for IMI China.
• You will drive a strong talent assessment process and rigor across all hiring teams that ultimately deliver the best talent.
• You will proactively share market and competitive intelligence to inform talent, business, and organizational design decisions with the Business & P&O colleagues.
• The role will maintain an understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and best practices and utilize specific sourcing tools, technologies, and/or capabilities required for talent acquisition.
• Provide monthly progress updates to your team and your manager including market intelligence and competitor analysis for your function and region, as well as any hiring manager or candidate feedback.
• Proactively give feedback to your teams on their performance and work with them to ensure they reach their growth potential.
• Support end to end recruitment activities for senior hiring across IMI China.
• You will represent Talent Acquisition at P&O Boards meetings at a Country Level.

Minimum Requirements

Languages: Fluent English, Mandarin

Education: Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, masters or MBA preferable

Position Requirements:
• Minimum 8+ years experience in recruitment either in an agency or inhouse talent acquisition team.
• A minimum of 3+ years recent experience in managing a sizable talent acquisition teams across China, preferably with expertise in hiring for full functions.
• Exceptional assessment and interviewing skills, with a strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments, and processes.
• Ability to manage relationships with Senior Leaders on the key deliverables and partner with your P&O peers to deliver a talent agenda.
• Previous experience in leading, coaching and mentoring diverse teams.
• Previous experience in driving a targeted D&I hiring agenda across a complex ecosystem.
• Ability to inspire and develop remote teams to become a best-in-class talent acquisition function that delivers exceptional candidate experience.
• Expertise and understanding of the latest China hiring trends with a focus on the pharmaceutical industry.
• Must have strong presentation, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to extract and interpret data from internal and external data sources.
• Strong project management and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail.
• Ability to navigate a complex and ambiguous environment.
