Job Purpose
As part of OD Consulting teams, work with business leaders and P&O colleagues to diagnose and address complex organisational challenges within and across Novartis’ businesses, enabling Novartis to successfully and sustainably drive its transformation, contributing to the mission of reimagining medicine to improve and extend people’s lives.
Major Accountabilities
Managing and delivering OD projects as part of a team and in partnership with business leaders and P&O colleagues. Support the diagnosis and solution development for prioritised, complex organisational challenges within and across Novartis businesses, to unlock disproportionate value. The role is predominantly project based with approx. 80% of time spent on consulting delivery:
As a consultant, support projects with business leaders and their teams to address organisation challenges and opportunities to create the organizational capability needed to drive business performance. This includes seeking to make the complex more simple for the business.
Deliver research and data analysis to diagnose root causes, and help determine OD intervention plan against need (vs demand).
Support design and delivery of high quality organization design, development and change management advice and interventions in line with business needs diagnosis.
Ensures high business impact through quality delivery, applied consulting skills and stakeholder management, facilitating change in a heavily matrixed and dispersed environment. Often works with senior executives.
Drives the development of project materials incl. working session content and designing and delivering appropriate interventions, incl facilitation
Actively contributes to development of OD practice areas such as org & operating model design, org health & diagnosis, change mngt. 20% of time spent on
Supports OD skills building across P&O and line managers locally. This includes contributing to formal and informal learning, enabling engagement across multiple channels, providing knowledge sharing mechanisms
Enables development of OD practice methodology and tools, working closely with OD Global Leads and P&O and Line Managers to develop content platforms
Enables the OD community building across P&O
Key Performance Indicators (Indicate how performance will be measured)
Quality of contribution to specific projects according to customer needs and expected outcomes delivered to cost, quality and time
Feedback from internal partners, and clients (Snr Business leaders, PO business partners, PO colleagues) recognize added-value of support
Evidence in organisational health metrics from a variety of sources incl Our Voice, Team perspectives, Org health reports

Minimum Requirements
Education:
Relevant degree, postgraduate and working qualifications preferred in the relevant business or applied behavioural sciences (e.g. Strategy, Business Administration, Organization Development, Psychology, HRM, MBB, etc).
Languages: Fluent in English, Business level Japanese
Experience:
Minimum 5 years OD, strategy or transformation consulting experience
Practical and pragmatic business focus
Proven analytical and conceptual skills, combined with ability to implement
Successful track record in application of OD and consulting tools and solutions in solving complex business problems and delivering global projects
Known for strong collaboration and networking
Proven experience in leading and working with multi-disciplinary teams across a dispersed & matrixed organization (e.g. strategy, operations, technology, P&O, etc.)
Experience in managing senior-level relationships incl. presenting to senior stakeholders or decision maker
