Sandoz has eight biosimilar approved globally – including four in the US – and more than ten in the pipe-line. Job Purpose
The Associate Director, Launch Project Management is responsible for project management and execution for launch activities to bring products to market on-time , with determined launch quantities and an aligned commercial plan. He/she is an expert at all of the components required for generic, private label and branded launch and will be deployed to the business/commercial launch leader, as business requires.
As a high-profile cross-functional leader with accountability for value delivery, leads cross-functional launch project teams, facilitates the formation and execution of the commercial launch pro-ject plan and risk mitigation plan, escalates launch-related decisions/issue resolution to Executive Management for investment and/or intervention.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Launch excellence: Partners with Business Area Leaders, Market Access, KAMs, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, IP, Regulatory, STO/ESO organization, and all relevant functions to develop comprehensive launch project plan/risk mitigation plan and guide the team through launch plan execution.
• Launch project management: Leads cross-functional launch execution process for post-submission projects including biosimilar, 505(j) and 505(b)(2), private labels, line extensions and authorized generics. Lead launch team(s) to follow the governance and launch processes to bring transparency across the organization and to achieve fact-based decision-making.
• Facilitates at risk investment scenario planning and decision making at Senior Executive level and escalate issues to appropriate management level
• Leads continuous improvement activities for launch processes to accelerate organizational launch success and maximize revenue and market share targets an ongoing basis.
• Actively manages and reports project status, action plans and changes to revenue targets across the organization including to senior management and global teams using Sanity reporting system
• Leads internal interaction and influencing / persuasion based on deep understanding and interpretation of complex and sometimes conflicting processes and challenges with the One Sandoz/Novartis the key outcome
• Internal expert on Launch Management and execution related topics for the department
• Capability building: Makes significant contributions to Launch management processes and content over time to bring acceleration to launches, overachieve on revenue where possible, creates new concepts incl. operational excellence drivers

This position will be located at the Princeton, NJ- Sandoz site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 20% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international).

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Education: Undergraduate degree in business or related fields required. MBA or equivalent preferred.

Required Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Launch Management and Commercial Operations with relevant experience in pharmaceutical commercial projects (process, analytics, project management) in a fast-paced, matrixed and complex multiproduct environment.
• Specialized knowledge in at least two of the following areas: Pharmaceutical Launch Management (preferably with generics), Project Management, Commercial Operations, Market Access, Supply Chain Management and Management Consulting
• Strong experience in project management, project planning/execution, and risk management. Demonstrated success in managing challenging high-value projects is a must.
• Familiar with multiple aspects of pharmaceutical commercial management including intellectual property, regulatory, supply chain, quality, technical operations, compliance, commercial operations, market access, pricing and contracting, and medical/clinical.
• Understanding of competing organizational needs beyond own part of business and anticipation of how other stakeholders impact progress and priorities.
• Excellent cross-functional and executive communication for issue resolution and awareness
• Experience in working with cross-functional / cross-divisional teams.
• High conceptual thinking and ability to understand complex issues and their implications even if context and problems are not clearly defined
