Novartis is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its team based out of the East Hanover, NJ Campus. In this role you will be responsible for:
• Preparation of federal income tax returns for assigned legal entities
• Documentation of income tax return filing decisions and law changes
• Ensuring income tax compliance documentation is completed with an audit-ready view
• Preparation of federal and state quarterly estimated payments and extensions
• Supporting Tax Controversy team in the defense and favorable resolution of federal and state income tax examinations
• Preparation of income tax accounting provisions (quarterly and long-term forecasts in accordance with IFRS) for assigned entities
• Ensuring provision documentation is in accordance with SOX requirements
• Preparation of income tax account reconciliations
• Support internal tax reporting processes and tax communications
• Research and special projects as needed
• Adherence to the internal and external income tax compliance and reporting calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.

Minimum Requirements

What you will bring to this role:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA Preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in corporate tax compliance or accounting firm.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Highly proficient in Microsoft suite of products and strong working knowledge of in-house financial systems (SAP) and Tax systems (OIT, OTP)
• Tech Curious is a plus
