Position Purpose:

To manage the Projects MEP Packages delivery including design. Responsible for prioritizing multiple projects in Mechanical/ HVAC/ Clean room/ Clean & Black Utilities /Facility Qualifications/ Firefighting services considering end to end management. Will be responsible for prioritizing, budgeting, scheduling, executing & supervising the performance of project as per required timelines.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Participate in finalizing Basic and Detailed Engineering concepts (Mechanical/ HVAC/ Modular Panel/ Utility/ Firefighting & other disciplines, as applicable). Review/Approve MEP services drawings & documents supplied by the consulting firm. Ensure Installation/ Execution of MEP package services inline to GMP, GEP, ISPE & other applicable standards as applicable. Perform in - depth review of the project to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.

• Be responsible for all onsite and offsite MEP services to supervise compliance with building and safety regulations. Perform due diligence for identifying the latest Installation trends, material, quality, reliability, cost etc. Prepare drawing and documents required for statutory approvals, as applicable. Conduct, minute weekly project coordination meetings with all the consultants, contractors. Mediate any conflicts that are arise with various contractors and consultants. Participate in resolving any technical hurdles during project executions with the help of consultants. Ensure that Installation activities move according to predetermined schedule.

• Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing different phases of the project. Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and labourers’. Supervise the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams. Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards. Following & documenting the Project Change control management as per the agreed procedures. Ensure project documents are complete. Preparing & executing the Facility Qualification Protocols/Reports. Periodic Quality inspection of construction/Installation site activities. Ensure compliance to all statutory requirements.

• A MEP Project Engineer is expected to communicate the task in the best possible manner. He is also supposed to explain the job expectations and deadlines well, so that there are no losses incurred due to miscommunication. An Engineer’s task is not only to connect with his own team members, but will also involve working in coordination with other teams to achieve the goal. It is part of the Engineer's duty to conduct follow-up meetings on a regular basis and ensure everybody is on track. Any slackness should be dealt with there and then, such that there is no delay in completion of the project. He is also expected to make project reports on a timely basis, thereby documenting the progress. Since the Project Engineer is unlikely to handle only one project at a particular time, he or she should have the ability to multi-task. He should see to it that all the assigned projects under his supervision are going on smoothly. Responsible for preparation & execution of Facility Qualification/Validation documents.

• Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes. Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements. Identify bottlenecks activities and overcome them for smooth project activities. Supervise and implement the changes while not compromising project timelines. Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. Analyse, handle and mitigate risks ahead to prevent problems, delays etc. Installation material reconciliation, measurement / quantity finalization. Verification and approval of contractor bills and tracking of payments. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 - 7 years of experience in Pharmaceutical/ Chemical/ FMCG Industry.
• Deep understanding of Project MEP services like Mechanical/Piping/HVAC/Clean room / Black & Clean Utility services within pharmaceutical Formulation facility.
• Good Knowledge of Project management like - Project planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Construction management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Safety Management & required Statutory approvals management.
