4 Global Category Managers support the IT Core Infrastructure and Cloud services worldwide within an IT and Digital Procurement Team of over 40+ procurement professionals. We are reimagining Procurement while continuing to bring value as a true business partner involved in all stages of the IT procurement life cycle.

We are currently recruiting for 2 Global Category Managers. One responsible for leading the IT Core Infrastructure and Cloud Procurement categories and serves as the key procurement contact for Technical Infrastructure Services (TIS) with Technology Transformation Globally. The other is responsible for leading the IT Security and Risk Management Procurement categories and serves as the key procurement contact for Security and Risk Management (ISRM) with Technology Transformation Globally.

This opportunity provides high value procurement solutions to the business and category strategies; support third party vendor selection, vendor development, technology management and performance measurement activities. The Global Procurement Category Manager ensures best-in-class delivery of external services and products in this category to support projects and to realise year-on-year productivity improvements, cost savings, and process improvements in close collaboration with the stakeholders in the business. You will coach and develop up to 5 direct reports whilst developing proposals for strategic business decisions.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Implement category strategic goals from overall Procurement strategy / Ecosystem management:
• Planning, organising and managing projects considering priorities, resources, budgets, issues and constraints to achieve desired results; defining clear project scope and objectives; using software and tools to plan, track and report status.
• Mapping the value chain, analysing it and deriving potential scenarios. Includes the understanding and application of total cost of ownership and should cost modelling.
• Participating in and / or leading financial discussions. Applying financial knowledge to participate actively, e.g., in budgeting process, including tax aspects in sourcing strategies and structuring sophisticated deals with ecosystem partners.
• Compliance and risk management: supporting reports to determine appropriate compliance level. Monitoring end-to-end compliance (budget, payment, vendor PO, contract invoice, buying channel, etc.) and deriving corrective actions to improve compliance. Applying risk management processes including identifying and evaluating risks and defining and executing a risk mitigation plan.
• Projecting the dynamics and impacts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions).
• Extracting, cleansing and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage e.g., in category strategies.
• Maintaining and updating Procurement applications accordingly to the Procurement content (e.g., e-catalogs, user portal). Continuous improvement of procurement content and automation.
• Support definition and implementation of Procurement tools and processes.
• Managing data analysis and reporting, e.g., analysing spend, demand, supply markets and competitors.

Demand management:
• Responsible to ensure the right balance between business needs and company strategy.
• Accountable to work with key partners to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives.

Sourcing and supplier relationships management
• Carrying out the Source-to-Contract process including respective strategies, approaches and methods: Preparing and conducting fact-based negotiations. Adapting tactics from a broad portfolio of negotiation strategies to achieve results that support business and Procurement objectives.
• Proactive assessment of new ways of working, involving innovative scientific & technical solutions by identifying and onboarding the right suppliers.

Manage relationships with stakeholders
• Analyzing specifications for optimization. Linking specification to customer value, challenging specification confidently. Conveying messages clearly and convincing stakeholders.
• Achieving results by proactively building long-term, sustainable and effective relationships, understanding the stakeholder landscape and demonstrating political astuteness across business structures and networks.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Preferably 5-10 years of relevant subject experience (IT / Security / Infrastructure Governance related experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, Finance , Architecture, Solution Sales, IT & Security Infrastructure Governance or Programme Management).
• Preferably > 5-10 years of experience in Procurement or other related experience preferably in sourcing management , category management, supplier management, or related area.
• University/Advanced degree is required. Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in IT , Business Administration, is preferred.
• ITIL v3/4, TOGAF ,COBIT, CISSP , CISA , CISM advantageous
• Strong project management and other leadership experience
• Stakeholder Management to CxO level.

• Experience within IT Core Infrastructure and Cloud Procurement covering: Software, Hardware, Maintenance, Services; Data Centre Facilities; DC Infrastructure (MidRange & x86 Server, SAN, Storage, Tools, LAN, DMZ); Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) across AWS, Azure, GCP etc.; Cloud Marketplace Services; Tools (Availability, Performance, Security); OEM and Non-OEM Maintenance; Colocation Services; Infrastructure Operations (classic and cloud); Infrastructure Cost Management


• Experience within IT Security and Risk Management Procurement covering: Software, Hardware, Maintenance, Services, Cloud; Vulnerability management; End Point Protection; Security tools management; Identity Access management; Privileged Access Management; Threat Detection; Data Protection; Authentication and Authorisation; SecOps; SIEM; Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; Firewalling; Proxying
