Senior Expert Science and Technology (m/f/d) Lab Automation and Data & Digital - 100% (f/m/d), Schaftenau, Austria

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage data& digital, analytical automation projects and drug enabling projects from initial idea and CAR to final implementation
• Be part of a team that will expand the Data & Digital capacities and capabilities in Process Analytic Sciences
• Leverage data & digital capabilities of different PAS sites.
• Evaluate new equipment & new technology
• SME for foundational and new Data & Digital solutions for samples management and data management (LIMS), chromatographic data system (CDS), lab documentation software (ELN), lab planning software, etc. will be part of your duties that drives innovation for advanced data sciences
• Training and supervision (matrix) of the local Automation & Digital Ambassadors (ADAs)
• You assure all project activities are performed in timely manner, meeting projects demands and timelines
• As well as ensure compliance of activities with quality standards (DQP), safety standards (HSE) and other Novartis standards as required

In this position, you report to the Team Lead of Automation lab specialties (ALA) in Process Analytical sciences (PAS) in Schaftenau (AT).

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Track record in fields related to data & digital
• Experience with project management of digital tools like LIMS, ELN, CDS
• You can work in local and global matrix teams as SME as well as leader
• Proficient in verbal and written English.
• You show resilience in an environment where change is the only constant
• With your development attitude you can take different viewpoints on our problems
• Strong and adapted communication is part of your working style and your way to motivate and energize our team and partners
• You are a role model for unbossed, curious and inspired leadership in Novartis

Desirable requirements:
• Sound technical & scientific knowledge of drug substance/product development, analytical sciences, or equivalent
• Understanding the needs and challenges of automation D&D in analytical laboratories
• Experience in connecting physical and digital systems
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 54.788,30/year (on a full-time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications, and individual competencies.
