To cultivate and maintain relationships among external marketing partners collaborating across the organization to build & maximize integrated partnerships that create value, impact & a competitive advantage for US Pharma.
You will lead the development of multiple, simultaneous, strategic, media partnerships and be responsible for building and enhancing relationships with these partners to de-liver first-to-market opportunities, increased value, and competitive advantage for Novartis. This will require strong internal and external relationships and an ability to keep efforts focused on delivering valuable outcomes (for both our customers and our business) within an environment of constant change and ambiguity.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Identify, create, and develop above-brand strategic media partnerships and relationships to drive growth (effectiveness and efficiency) and expand the capabilities of Novartis in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Examine partner investment, historic engagement & contracts to identify the most optimal strategic marketing partnerships for Novartis.
• Initiate relationships with partners, assessing business opportunities, and driving the agreements, integrations, and executions necessary to maximize partnership value
• Work with external partner agencies and internal Experience Planning team to determine which types of partners to pursue given strategic priorities, source potential partners from the broader landscape, and lead the development of a joint business case–including potential investment options
• Build alliances with strategic partners by defining joint roadmaps, managing multiple top-to-top touch points and maintaining partner health.
• Focus on laying the foundation for large, long-term strategic partnerships while still recognizing and realizing near-term opportunities
• Establish best practices for how to effectively work with & leverage partners. Produce supporting materials to share learnings and keep organization up-to-date on the latest partner offerings. Effectively communicate trends, successes & updates on a continual basis.

Our selection process will prioritize US-based associates whose roles may be changing or may be impacted as a result of the Transforming for Growth reorganization. This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position.

The ideal location for this role is the East Hanover site but a distant working arrangement may be possible in certain states. Distant workers are responsible for the cost of home office expenses and periodic travel/lodging to the East Hanover site, as determined necessary by hiring manager. For associates working on-site, relocation assistance to be within 50 miles of the site may be available. This position will require 20% travel as defined by the business (domestic and or international).

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred
Experience:
• Minimum of 7 Years’ relevant experience in areas of digital, media planning and investment strategy, technology, or partnerships with multi-functional experience in Agency, Consultancy, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare preferred
• Minimum of 7 years working strategically and directly with large-scale media partners and delivery platforms
• Demonstrated experience in working with others to achieve organizational objectives including the ability to anticipate and adapt, own and or/work group tactics to support changing business needs
• Experience in creating, identifying, evaluating, and building differentiated relationships with external strategic partners while working within a networked organization
• Ability to self-manage multiple priorities at once, prioritize work, drive for results, and excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and manage a network of key internal and external relationships
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating to achieve goals through others
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to “tell the story” around complex issues and the partnership opportunities to a range of audiences and stakeholders
