The ideal location for this role is our East Hanover site but remote work may be possible (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific East Hanover site for periodic live meetings will be at the employee’s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position may require up to 20% travel. This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position

This Executive Director is an expert in the context of the disease area/brands, is a champion for the voice of customers and patients, has strengths in analytics (predictive and performance), behavioral insights, and a skill for defining a compelling narrative that challenges the status quo to allocate resources toward the most relevant business needs and opportunities. This leader will inspire their team to embrace the role of “Intellectual Sparring Partner” as they take ownership of new ways of working to become a proactive, committed partner focused on driving outcomes by leveraging syndicated, custom, traditional, digital, and emerging methodologies, and will actively partner with the Vice President of Integrated Insights, other Integrated Insights Leads, Customer Engagement & Enterprise Analytics, Strategic Data Products, and DIA Capabilities partners to deliver solutions. This person will work closely with the Marketing Strategist and other cross-functional leaders to direct the efforts of the Integrated Insights team as they deliver on the current and future needs of the Product Focused business.

The Executive Director, Integrated Insights (Product Team) leads a team of professionals to generate and apply customer and consumer insights and analytics that create successful business outcomes and fuel product growth. The Executive Director engages with the General Manager and other cross-functional leaders and is a direct member of the Integrated Marketing Strategy Team (IMST). This role ensures that current actions and future strategies are firmly rooted in an understanding of consumer behavior. This leader ensures the Integrated Insights team proactively engages with the Integrated Marketing Strategy Teams (IMST) to use consumer, customer and market knowledge to uncover growth opportunities, provide clarity on critical issues, and resolve priority business problems.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead a team of 2-7 Insights professionals embedded within a Product Focused Team
• Define and embed new skills (e.g.: problem identification, behavioral research framework, articulating recommendations in relevant context) and new ways of working
• Engage with SPOCs across the Integrated Product Strategy Team (IPST) to ensure strong cross-functional alignment and collaboration to deliver results.
• Work with Heads of Integrated Insights, Customer Engagement & Enterprise Analytics, Strategic Data Products, and DIA Capabilities to support the Integrated Insights team.
• Within their specific Product Focused Team, the leader will partner with cross-functional leaders to guide the team to deliver end-to-end Integrated Insights that address commercial needs across sales, marketing and other key areas.
• Marketing Insights and analytics including: Patient Insights, Customer Insights, Brand activation, HCP & Patient Journey Mapping, Behavioral Insights and Integrated performance analytics
• Work with brand assigned market access insights and analytics team to maximize product performance e.g. rebate and contract model strategies, Market Access contracting strategy & tactics, and to optimize contracted formulary status by targeting favorable access environments
• Work within Ethics, Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and ensure those around him/her do the same.

Minimum Requirements

What will you bring to the role
• Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Analytics and Insights focused roles supporting Commercial/Sales/Brand/Product organizations
• Prior Pharma/Life Sciences experience coupled with experience in one of the aforementioned therapeutic area is preferred
• Experience leading Analytics and Insights teams is required.
• Deep experience in consumer insights, including application of behavioral and psychological research methodologies.
• Must possess an ability to foster cross-functional alignment of key stakeholders to create a disciplined, ambitious, and collaborative, global, commercial operating platform
• Strategic planning capability combined with an outstanding ability to drive execution with a focus on directing operational enhancements to increase quality and effectiveness
• Have successfully managed the development of others
• Works effectively across functions as a team player to seamlessly help to achieve common goals without hierarchy, politics, or self-interest
