The Senior Manager, User Experience Interface (UX/UI) Design will be responsible for designing, creating, and implementing UX and UI for the RWE & MI data-centric Information Products.

The UX/UI Designer will serve as the expert in UX/UI and work with the Software Team, Data Science, and Information Product teams and business stakeholders (Medical, HEOR, and PHAM teams; along with external co-development collaborators) to ensure intuitive/user-friendly, content-rich/valuable, and adaptable information products and applications for internal and external users.

The RWE & MI information products and applications support the strategic initiatives of Medical and PHAM teams to create information products (that utilize epidemiology, health economics, statistics, and machine learning) and solutions focused on improving clinical care delivery and patient outcomes. This includes utilizing large licensed Real-World Data Novartis assets and other data made available through co-development initiatives with health systems.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the RWE&MI UX/UI – Own the UX/UI Design product inside RWE information products by translating user and information research into user journey excellence. Support and collaborate with Software and Data Science to build world-class information products that reflect science as well as concise and consistent user experiences. Design and implement acceptance tests for UX/UI aspects of web-based software applications. Perform feedback reviews to optimize existing UX and UI designs.
• Develop and Communicate Technical and Business Requirements - Communicate with internal and external stakeholder to understand business goals and objectives. Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions.
• Create Prototypes for New Information Product and Application Features – Ability to discuss and explain design options.
• Support and Conduct User Research Activities
• Drive UX/UI Standardization Across All Medical Information Products
• Able to develop a strategic vision by integrating needs of diverse constituencies, scientific considerations and market knowledge to produce best in class results. Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in addressing strategic challenges.

Our selection process will prioritize associates from the current Innovative Medicines division, whose positions may be changing or impacted. This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position.

This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Bachelor's Degree; Desired a technical degree in statistics, epidemiology, applied mathematics
• 5+ years of experience as an UI-UX Designer or similar role
• Experience and track record of UX/UI designs of data-centric information products
• Knowledge and experience using markup and style sheet technologies for web applications (like HTML5 & CSS3)
• Experience and knowledge of medical science and healthcare from a UX and UI perspective
• Expert knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction using information products
• UI design portfolio
