Join a team of managers to oversee the Managed Care Rebate operations for Novartis and its divisions. Ensure the accurate and timely system set up and payment of all contractual rebate obligations to Managed Care Commercial customers including large PBMs, Health plans, GPOs and select other customers, as well as managing special projects. Develop analytical tools and interpret multiple data sets to inform various business partners across Novartis and its divisions.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead, develop and motivate a team of analysts to high performance. Coach, mentor and train team members to reach their full success in the organization.
• Accurately evaluate and interpret Managed Care contracts and monitor the status of rebate claims to ensure rebate payments are made accurately and timely as per the terms and conditions of the Contracts and timely system set up and payment of complex contractual rebate obligations. Review & approve high volume of rebates payments in a tight time frame. Identify disputed rebate claim data and work with Account Management to negotiate settlements with customers.
• Manage the activities for multiple divisions with different systems, processes and relationships. Partner with a global team responsible for entire rebates operation for US Managed Care including US and India-based associates.
• Minimize Revenue Leakage by leading data scrubbing projects and using innovative analytical tools.
• Manage cash flow demands, estimates and forecasts on a monthly basis and develop insightful analytics that both explain and predict revenue deduction fluctuations.
• Develop process improvements such as robotics and automation in order to stay current with industry standards and regulatory changes.
• Ensures full compliance with all relevant company policies and procedures (SOX, etc.).

This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position.

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely.
Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent 4-Year University degree
• 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, customer payments and contracts or related expertise. Pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience a must
• Ability to present complex information and data sets in an understandable and compelling manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external
• customers.
• Excellent analytical skills are necessary to review contracts, approve rebates and assess/ recommend improvements to business performance & impact.
• Excellent interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
• Strong Organizational Management Techniques.
• Ability to work in a matrixed organization and influence others.

Desirable
• Degree subject area in Business, Finance, Accounting or related
• Strong knowledge of payment validation procedures and systems including knowledge of contract and
• rebate adjudication systems such as Model N,
• Revitas Flex & Classic, ECP and SAP strongly preferred
• Functional understanding of legal aspects of contracts as well as the healthcare industry including market access, formulary management, access contracts and price protection.
