The Membership Manager - Sandoz position will lead both Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Sandoz organizations with the accurate and timely administration of Novartis and Sandoz discount agreements. This entails contract interpretation and system entry and maintenance, membership validation, rebate payment adjudication, chargeback adjudication support, provision of insights from data to offer resolutions to end customers, participation in forward-looking initiative discussions, strong analytical ability and collaborating with process stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely membership adjustments are consistently met while maintaining a minimal business escalation profile.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Process Expert/Lead - Oversee the evaluation and interpretation of contracts to ensure correct setup of products, pricing, and membership terms. Serve as subject matter expert in creation and maintenance of Indirect/Direct membership information in Model N, SHAPE, and SAP. Provide guidance on Class of Trade research to support Government Pricing calculations. Serve as subject matter expert for the department and leverage knowledge of system and membership expertise to drive priorities, project development quality/speed, and compliance. Manage and/or coordinate special projects. Serve as key contact for internal and external customers for issue/project initiation through resolution/completion. Leverage expertise to manage onshore/offshore team, priorities, issue resolution, project development quality/speed and compliance.

• Business Partnering - Support contract strategy feasibility discussions with Sandoz Biopharma, and/or Sandoz Gx contract teams. Partner with the Government Pricing team to ensure accurate pricing calculations. Communicate with wholesalers, GPO, LTC, Specialty Groups, HIBCC, IMS, and HRSA to determine member eligibility. Work with teams in remote locations both inside and outside the U.S. to achieve department objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and review any membership-related issue, strategy, audit, analytics, or project. Lead, ideate & participate in extended team meetings to foster relationships and provide early guidance to drive awareness of key initiatives and contract changes upfront. Train teams/customers on new processes and provide ongoing best practice sharing. Ensure ownership and maintenance of process documentation.

• Team Leadership/Meeting Facilitation - Provide expertise and training to associates within the team to help ensure understanding and alignment of standard operating procedures. Plan and implement effective meetings by driving early planning and facilitating consensus among stakeholders. Provide direction to associates to help ensure alignment of understanding priorities within and across teams/customers and completing of tasks; delegate responsibilities as appropriate and ensure tracking to completion.

• Quality Assurance – Ensure adherence to all membership and business process requirements. Responsible for communication and documentation of key membership process updates. Partner with wholesalers to ensure data is submitted correctly; identify any areas for improvement and provide actionable feedback.

This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position.

This position will be located at the East Hanover, NJ site and will not have the ability to be located remotely. This position will require 15% travel as defined by the business (domestic and/ or international). Please note that this role would not provide relocation and only local candidates will be considered.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent 4-Year degree required
• 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry/healthcare
• Understanding of pharmaceutical product discount contracts with various healthcare providers
• Demonstrated persistent follow through skills and ability to juggle shifting priorities with ease; results-oriented ability to deliver under tight deadlines

• Ability to research and respond to complex customer issues with reasoned judgment
• Strong collaboration, communication and negotiating skills
• Strong leadership, motivation, and relationship building skills with ability to influence without direct responsibility; ability to train and coach others

• Degree subject area in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Functional experience in chargeback adjudication, rebate processing, membership and/or contract administration
• Working knowledge of class of trade and customer identifiers
• Working knowledge and understanding of EDI
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Alteryx, Qlik, Microsoft Excel, and/or Tellius
• Proficiency with life science applications; Model N and SAP a plus
• Strong project and process management experience
