The Associate Director, ERC Local Review Management and Advisory, Policy and Learning (APL) Operations will execute reviews of associate conduct across the US organization to identify root causes and educate associates on applicable Novartis policies. The Associate Director, ERC Local Review Management and APL Operations will help ensure that ERC guidance, including the ‘why’ is clear and actionable to US associates. The ideal candidate is passionate about both understanding associate conduct and ensuring that ERC policy, guidance and other resources help to empower associates to act in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Execute reviews of associate conduct across the US organization as part of SpeakUp and Local Matter Review processes, identify root causes, develop mitigation strategies and provide coaching with a focus towards educating associates on applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements and improving the US Compliance Program.
•Collaborate with other ERC Advisory, Policy and Learning team and other ERC stakeholders (e.g. Risk Management Oversight, Operational Controls, CIA) to engage with associates and managers to understand ERC findings (eg Data Analytics review findings) and address through coaching, ad hoc training, policy communications and other innovative methods to enable a culture of compliance and continued focus on associates’ performing roles and responsibilities in compliance with applicable Novartis policies, procedures and CIA requirements.
•Be a knowledge expert related to Novartis healthcare compliance policies, procedures and CIA requirements and how they apply to associates’ roles and responsibilities throughout of the US organization.
•Support strategies to integrate clear and actionable ERC guidance into US organization ways of working and training strategies across US organization (e.g. Compliance Champions networks).
•Develop trusted relationships with associates of all levels in US organization to promote a SpeakUp culture and proactively identify areas where ERC policies may be unclear or confusing and collaborate with ERC Advisory, Policy and Learning team and other US stakeholders to resolve them.
•Engage with US leaders and associates to strengthen a positive culture towards compliance and ethical decision making as an integral part of how we reimagine medicine for patients.
•Share US associates’ ERC experience with ERC Advisory, Policy and Learning to ensure ERC policies, resources and learning engagements are relevant and actionable to US associates.

This is a US based position. No international relocation will be provided for this position

The ideal location for this role is the East Hanover site but remote work may be possible (there may be some exceptions based on legal entity registration). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific site for periodic live meetings will be at the employee’s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will re-quire 10-20% travel.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
•Bachelor's Degree is required in relevant area
•5+ years in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies; consulting, compliance or legal counseling of pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies; or combination thereof, inclusive of at least 2 different functions (eg Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Patient Services)

Preferred:
•MBA or other relevant advanced degree / certification preferred
•2+ years in compliance, legal or regulatory counseling for pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech companies
•2+ years in communications or training role (e.g. developing and delivering learning curriculum) in the pharmaceutical industry
