The Global Capability Building Director (GCBD) is the strategic learning partner within Global Drug Development University (GDU). Through their deep knowledge and understanding of GPTs, Development Units, and Learning & Development within Pharmaceutical Drug Development, you will build the learning strategy & implementation plan, together with their business stakeholders. You will:

1. Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs, priorities, and performance gaps. Demonstrate an understanding of drug development processes, knowledge, and skills to provide appropriate learning solutions.

2. Build a global strategic learning plan for learning areas through consulting on capability needs. Collaborate with customers to define desired performance outcomes. Analyze all requests and identify priorities that are aligned with strategic priorities, leadership, and key stakeholders.

3. Function as the leader of learning portfolio to conduct needs analysis, design/development, deploy and measurement across multiple learning programs. Assist team to prioritize, project manage and ensure transparent communication across stakeholders.

4. Determine required behaviors, skills, and knowledge needed by different roles and develop learning paths to support this. Build precision learning journeys for high-impact roles and teams.

5. Determine data required to measure business impact. Propose how data will be collected and analyzed to demonstrate the value and impact.

6. Thoroughly understand learning methodologies to provide practical solutions.

7. Partner with functional HR teams to align learning and development activities with the development and implementation of HR plans, programs, and tools.

8. Directly responsible to drive stakeholder satisfaction by delivering the best customer experience, quality of learning solutions, and positive impact to the business.

Minimum Requirements

* This role may be hired in NJ, USA; Basel, CH; or in Dublin, IRE *


What you'll bring to this role:

Education:
• Bachelor's degree is required. Focus on Learning, Org Development, and/or Pharma-business related scientific area is preferred


Experience:
• 5+ years of Clinical, Pharmaceutical, or Medical Device experience with deep understanding of Drug Development functions; or 5+ years working in a customer focused role, ideally within a consulting agency providing learning solutions and services into the Pharma/ Medical Device industry
• 5+ years knowledge of adult education theory and practice
• 5+ years’ experience leading diverse (Cultural, Geographical) project teams with stretch targets and assertive timelines


Skills/Competencies:
• Excellent business communication and presentation skills
• Adept at building trust and gaining commitment from Stakeholders
• Experience with instructional design and adult learning principles
• Strong project management experience across multiple priorities
• Global engagement and experience are preferred
