Job Description

MISSION
• Improve business performance by extracting insights from data (incl market understanding)
• Be responsible for leading key strategic commercial projects within the Business Unit Retail & Specialty
• Support in Business Review preparation and ad-hoc request from global/region/cluster
• Develop business cases and identify business opportunities for growth
• Data sources coordination & analytics

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Data management
• Manage, integrate and extract insights from the different sources of data available
• Propose actionable ways of transforming these insights into commercial initiatives that improve business performance
• Lead key projects in data insights (e.g. Pharma Insights) and analytics together with key stakeholders

2. Market Understanding
• Be the key business partner within the BU by understanding, challenging, supporting & driving short- and long-term performance
• Execute, share and explain regular market, competition & customer analyses
• Support in the preparation of financial forecasts, target preparation and strategic planning in general

3. Commercial initiatives
• Lead strategic commercial projects in line with business priorities and future market trends. Translate data insights & market analytics into commercial offers
• Fine-tune and monitor the impact of commercial strategy with defined KPIs (in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Excellence and Finance)
• Develop business cases and identify additional business opportunities for growth
• Support RLT in ad-hoc requests (e.g. business reviews) and analysis from the cluster/region

4. Project mgmt. & customer experience
• Support the implementation of digital tools to improve market, competitive & customer intelligence, as well as sales & marketing activities
• Gather, share and leverage best practices within the organization by connecting with Cluster

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• University degree (bachelor/master) – preferably in business administration, economics or applied sciences
• 2-5 years of industry experience (preferably with 1-3 years of consulting experience)

• Fluent in English (strong knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus)
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong strategic and commercial mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Proven skills in managing cross-functional projects
