Job Description

1. Deliver the numbers: customer service level (CSL), costs (PCE as part of COGS), working capital (inventory)
2. Responsible for fully compliant value chain (local as well as global Regulatory and Novartis rules & guidelines): QA elements such as GMP/GCTP, HSE, Financial compliance (SOX/NFCM)
3. Ensure compliance with GMP/GCTP and regulatory requirements (including Records Management) and continuous improvements of quality relevant processes within area of responsibility.
4. Establish empowered, direct and non-bureaucratic team and culture within the organization which thinks and acts as part of the Novartis Pharma end-to-end value chain
5. Drive state-of-the art value chain processes such as S&OP, VMI supply model, collaborative planning between affiliates (country organizations) and supplying plants, Warehouse & Distribution as well as life-cycle management (launches, transfers, changes, pruning)
6. Manage and control budget and expenses, and assess global supply chain initiatives and programs to evaluate cost effectiveness and results.
7. Develop effective and strong working relationships with CPO, global PhSC as well as the supplying plants (NVS network, local 3rd)
8. Promote and drive actively a strategy to search and develop the talent pipeline
9. Ensure NOSSCE Class A status of the site by providing necessary expertise throughout end to end supply chain operations, playing a role of business owner for NOSSCE core processes
10. Nominate local business owners, process owners and super users to ensure governance of the processes of the unit and align the related role’s key accountabilities with global Supply Chain BPO directions.
11. Ensure business owners, process owners and super users of the unit are appropriately dedicate to develop and share process and system expertise within the BPOs and SUs network.
12. Ensure local business owners and process owners contribute to the continuous improvement of the defined Standards providing inputs and actively participating to Global initiatives.
13. Take oversight responsibility for trade compliance activities to ensure adherence to GTC principles and application of minimum standards set out by global trade compliance.

Minimum Requirements

1. Business Acumen: Good understanding of the Pharma industry, business, and commercial operations. Understands the dynamics of funds flow and a tax-optimized value chain.
2. Manufacturing/SCM: Possesses an in-depth knowledge of the basic manufacturing knowledge processes, logistics operations/processes and procedures, including products, dosage forms.
3. Supply Chain Management: Mastery of tools, processes and procedures such as: S&OP, ABC segmentation, product management and supply, production planning, inventory control, W&D incl. trade compliance, commercial operations including channel management
4. Coaching/People Skills: Excellent change agent, strong people orientation, capable of developing, managing and influencing a highly competitive multi-national group.
5. Recruitment and Selection: Adept at selection and recruitment of quality people. Drive assertively the recruitment of key talent.

1. Education
University degree of Science / Economics / Finance or MBA
2. Language
English – Fluent spoken and written
3. Minimum Experience
At least 7 years of experiences in managerial capacity
