10! The number of Novartis units across UK & IE that are supported by the UK & IE Financial Controls & Compliance team.

Job Purpose

To lead the FC&C function within a country across divisions and ensure end-to-end service delivery to all Novartis divisions and units

Major Accountabilities

- Ensuring compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and SOX 404 requirements.
- Responsible for understanding of business processes, assessment and mitigation of key risks, supporting the organization in remediating the control gaps and providing necessary training. FC&C Lead supports global finance process improvement initiatives, sharing leading practices.
- To understand business processes; performs risk-assessment, self-assessment of control design, process walkthroughs and testing of internal controls.
- Supports remediation of control deficiencies, process improvement initiatives, sharing leading practices.
- Ensures to provide deliverables according to NFCM schedule, analyze and update various stakeholders such as NGSC, Regional Finance, CFO.
- Responsible for managing and leading potential direct reports according to the values and behaviors outlined by Novartis.

Minimum Requirements

Key Requirements

• University level degree in Business Administration/ Economics/Finance or Chartered Accountant / MBA desirable.
• 8+ years of financial experience
• SAP knowledge.
• A passion for leading diverse teams and supporting their development to achieve business goals.
• Experience in managing projects driving performance improvements.
