One Global Discovery Chemistry community, working across seven disease areas at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), is seeking a highly talented and motivated medicinal chemist to join our Global Discovery Chemistry Department in Emeryville, CA.

Your core responsibilities include:

•Application of experience and knowledge to solve difficult synthetic challenges and provide useful guidance to other chemists in the department locally and for NIBR globally.

•Executing experiments and interpretation of complex data to draw logical and innovative conclusions, connecting and enabling work of other team members and/or relevant collaborators

•Utilization of results to develop research proposals, identify trends, and recommend changes in the scope of work or termination of projects

•Further development of people leadership skills to help drive project strategy and provide insightful guidance to tackle medicinal chemistry problems

Minimum Requirements

PhD in organic chemistry (or equivalent field); or MS with 5+ years relevant industrial experience, BS with 10+ years of relevant industrial experience
