Job Purpose
• Lead Novartis China new product business potential assessment, engage cross function project cooperation in pre-launch (early strategy till 24mth before commercial launch) strategy planning
• Engage external stakeholder to accelerate new product introduction into China market & maximize product therapeutic value to deliver best patient outcome

Major Accountabilities
• Identify and evaluate new products market opportunities & revenue potential for China future growth. This will include in-depth understanding of the strategic market segments and therapeutic unmet needs that China is involved in, along with TA category/product portfolio mapping to identify and prioritize global TA portfolio & product pipeline develop-ment opportunities in China.
• Be responsible for the evaluation of new product opportunities with solid business case , including market and product evaluation, registration, clinical development & market ac-cess strategy to support decision making
• Establish close working relationship / well project management with internal functional teams from global / China leadership team in order to get their inputs timely and include into the new product / therapy / segment evaluation process (i.e. regulatory, finance, manufacturing, pricing and reimbursement, etc)
• Ensure the alignment of global and China development program to address China-specific commercial needs for new products
• Coordinate and/or conduct qualitative and quantitative market research projects to evalu-ate market opportunity for new products.
• Engage external various kinds of key stakeholders to understand China business envi-ronment as well as establish key customers relationship to drive product speed to market.

Minimum Requirements

• University Degree (Science, preferred, Economics)
• MBA is desirable
• English & Chinese fluent spoken & written;
• Around 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
• Significant marketing experience required (minimum: with new product launch experience)
• New Product Development, Strategic Planning or Licensing experience
• Medical Affairs or Sales experience a plus
• OR 3+ years management consulting experience with relevant projects in pharmaceutical industry
