The Regional Data Strategy and Digital projects lead reports into Head of Region SIR Digital and is responsible for driving development and adoption of new advanced analytics solutions across different countries in our International Region and collaborates with Global Sales and Operations, Global Pipeline and Portfolio and Global Data Strategy and Advanced analytics teams on supporting priority projects.
Covering the spectrum of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, data strategy and portfolio projects, the role impacts on our expanding new and existing advanced analytics use-cases that drive insights and projects and enable effective, data driven decision-making for the Sandoz International Region.
The position plays a critical role in regional analytics governance, in alignment with the Head of Global Data Management and regional data and digital teams, driving and coordinating the delivery of high impact Data Science and Artificial Intelligence work.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and lead regional data science strategy and roadmap catering to all Sandoz enterprise functions and countries in region in close collaboration with Sandoz Global Data Management and DSAI CoE.
• Develop, prioritize, accelerate and support Advanced Analytics (AA) use-cases in collaboration with Regional and key-Country business partners.
• Represent region on data science initiatives and drive efficiently implementation across various countries by partnering with Sandoz global, regional and country teams, and cross-divisional implementation teams and external vendors.
• Ensure user adoption and business impact by designing proper rollout across countries, monitoring relevant measurements and aligning with countries and regions.
• Work together with the Sandoz Global Data & Digital team to ensure that the Region uses data efficiently and optimally to drive governance and prioritization of data and digital projects and Advanced Analytics enablement to continuously meet business goals and answer business questions from senior leadership.
• Develop communication approach to support countries in planning for and implementation of initiatives locally. Support data and infrastructure initiatives as needed.
• Lead regional DS & AI capabilities for Advanced Analytics among regional business users across the organization and acting as the Domain Specialist for DS, advanced analytics, machine learning.
• Use broad functional understanding of operating model, among which Marketing and Sales Management, Tender and Key Account Management, Business Development and Licensing, Portfolio strategy, Manufacturing and Supply Chain and Finance to work efficiently in a complex matrix organization.
• Build strong relationships with SIR countries championing data and digital projects in the SIR region. Work with Global Sales and Operations and Global Pipeline and Portfolio Digital teams to determine and roll out priority projects.
• Demonstrate effective leadership and transformational management, demonstrating proficiency in organisational change, persevering to overcome issues, balance risks, building productive teams and being committed to building trust among partners.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Undergraduate degree in healthcare related field with additional MBA or business management degree/ statistics / advanced analytics capability
• 7 + years of experience in digital project management and expertise in leading advanced analytics projects.
• Pharmaceutical experience in digital multichannel project management, analysing digital data, marketing analytics or decision sciences.
• Ability to translate business questions into market research, advanced analytics, data science problems and translate solutions back into business insights that influence business decisions and strategy.
• Proven expertise and knowledge in supporting and prioritising business analytics needs.
• Ability to build relationships, collaborate and influence across a multi-country and multifunctional matrix organization.
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple projects, be accountable for individual & team results and motivate change across functions, anticipating and adapting team tactics to business needs.
• Proficiency in English (Oral & Written).

Desirable requirements:
• Advanced degree in statistics, data science, engineering, computer science or related quantitative field
