4 – 0! The result of a football game? In fact this marks the number of marketed biosimilars by Sandoz Germany for autoimmune diseases in the areas of rheumatology, gastro-enterology and dermatology (4), as well as in Multiple Sclerosis (0).
Your challenge is to shape and support both our environment and the organization in such way that we’ll become the leading supplier of TNFα medicines and bring the score to 4-1 by successfully launching natalizumab, the first biosimilar for patients suffering from MS.

The Head Immunology is a managerial employee within the meaning of § 5 BetrVG.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Advance and align the local German strategy to successfully commercialize Biosimilars & Generics of PU Immunology, with PnL responsibility above EURm 100
• Build and further develop local German Immunology team (>60) to execute against ambitious & aligned targets
• As part of the BU Specialty Leadership Team, play a leading role in future-proofing our biosimilar organization for the eventual impact of biosimilar substitution in Germany and in shaping the respective market environment
• Be a role model and driver of our positive organizational culture and collaboration across Novartis Divisions, business segments, performance units and functions
• Attract, retain and develop key talents in PU Immunology, contributing to our internal succession planning and talent pipeline
• Deliver on financial targets and KPIs (incl. market share development, forecasting accuracy, TFCs)
• Generate in-depth patient, customer, market and competitive understanding identifying trends and opportunities
• Derive country launch and customer plans (physicians, patients, nurses etc.) for each product across functions covering product, market and organizational aspects leading to a winning go-to-market model
• Support generation of product value propositions, positioning, key messages, branding concepts and value-add customer / patient offerings & services tailored to the German market, in close collaboration with Region Europe and in line with OCE expectations
• Drive execution of outreach activities to the external community (patients, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, payors) via communication, publication, education and congress activities
• Ensure preparation and execution of succinct market access strategy
• Provide strategic input to Global / Region Europe and ensure all key local German aspects and needs are considered and either delivered via Global/Region Europe or via the local team

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• A business and/or science background and degree is required
• Several years of experience in country Marketing / Market Access and/or Sales is required
• Experienced and proven leadership skills are required
• Specialty commercialization and Immunology TA expertise desired
• Individual must possess excellent business acumen, strong communication, analytical and project management skills, and the ability to bridge marketing and science
• The individual must demonstrate the ability to work cross-functionally and across organizations, to align interests of multiple parties, and to be adaptable in a new and evolving area of the business
• Languages: German fluent, English at least business level
