Job Description

The Threat Intelligence Researcher will be an integral part of the Threat Intelligence Team and the Novartis Cyber Center. The Novartis Cyber Center is a cyber security research center, aims to provide the company’s security leadership with the most advanced analysis of cyber threats to the company, while providing practical measures and controls to protect against them.

The Threat Intelligence Researcher will use a variety of tools and resources to proactively collect and analyze threat intelligence, implement in-depth research about threat to the organization and the industry, and work with multiple teams in order to alert on threats to the organization, as well as in order to generate and deploy security controls to address them.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Effectively monitor, collect and report Threat Intelligence relevant to the company and the industry
• Accurately analyze the impact / potential impact of an incident, vulnerability, actor or a TTP on the organization
• Identify technology and process gaps that affect CSOC (Cyber Security Operations Center) services; develop solutions and make recommendations for continuous improvement
• Define use cases to connect between Threat Intelligence indicators to the organization’s security controls
• Implement in-depth research on state-sponsored and cyber-criminal Threat actors, TTPs, vulnerabilities and generate white-papers and reports for relevant business partners within the organization
• Work with multiple teams around In ISRM (Information Security and Risk Management) and beyond to alert on relevant Threat Intelligence items, and them recommend and work to deploy the required security controls to address the threat
• Work with the company’s Cyber Center and the Threat Hunting team to create monitoring tools for highly sophisticated hacking techniques

Minimum Requirements

What you'll Need:

- University working and thinking level, degree in business/technical/scientific area or comparable education/experience

- 3+ years of experience in Threat Intelligence / Cyber Intelligence analysis / Threat Hunting or related fields

- Experienced IT administration with broad and in-depth technical, analytical and conceptual skills

- Experience in reporting to and communicating with senior level management (with and without IT background, with and without in depth risk management background) on incident response topics

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; interpersonal and collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate information risk-related and incident response concepts to technical as well as nontechnical audiences

- Solid understanding and knowledge of general IT infrastructure technology and systems

- Proficiency in English (written and oral)

Nice to have:

- Professional information security certification, such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 auditor / practitioner is preferred. Professional (information system) risk or audit certification such as CIA, CISA or CRISC is preferred
