That’s the savings Sandoz has provided in just two years to the US healthcare system as a result of the successful adoption of one of our oncology supportive care biosimilar into clinical practice. Sandoz has eight biosimilar approved globally – including four in the US – and more than ten in the pipeline. Biosimilar may enable more patients to access advanced biologic medicines earlier, and Sandoz has proven that biosimilar offer significant savings for overburdened health systems. The US National Field Reimbursement Director (NFRD) will be the lead for the FRM team on all matters related strategy, leadership, management, operations and financial support and oversight that aligns to Sandoz strategy and business goals. The NFRD will provide leadership to link strategy to execution to deliver patient access to Sandoz products and services. The scope and scale of the role will adapt to meet the expanding needs of the business. The NFRD will develop and implement strategic plans to provide highly effective support strategies for patient access to Sandoz products. Additionally, the NFRD will have oversight of the national team’s daily activities to ensure effective application of the strategies in the field.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Development of short- and long-term strategic plans to increase patient access for applicable products. Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to increase their understanding of Sandoz’ Patient Assistance Services
• Budget development and management for yearly operations of field reimbursement activities. Align strategies with other key partners, including brand teams and finance, to ensure consistency with overall company strategy and budgets.
• Oversight and management of team performance to meet defined objectives. Provide strong people management to attract, coach and retain team of impactful Field Reimbursement Managers
• Collaborate across multi-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, MM, Operations, and Training etc.) to ensure collaborative approach to support field success.
• Reimbursement and access subject matter expert across the organization in both pharmacy and medical reimbursement methodology and processes
• Development and utilization of key analytics to drive strategic decision making and inform the broader organization of trends.
• Condense complex issues into simple solutions by working with peers and internal stakeholders to improve the patient and HCP experience.

This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (There may be some exceptions based on legal entity registration). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require up to 50% travel.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in managed care, reimbursement, or patient services
• Specialty pharmacy reimbursement expertise required and the ability to teach a high performing team on all facets of product reimbursement.
• Strong track record of leading and retaining successful teams, preferably in field reimbursement.
• Experience in budget development and management of expenses within allocated budgets
• Excellent presentation, collaboration and teamwork, and project management skills with strong business acumen
• Above average computer skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CRM (Salesforce.com)
• Understanding of patient privacy laws including HIPAA and similar state laws
• Bachelor’s degree required

Desirable Experience:
• Expertise in both pharmacy and medical benefit reimbursement
• Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors, as well as Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems
